- The graduate's training meets the requirements in the field of ICT, in accordance with the standard of the programming profession and is in accordance with the LZP Science branches and sub-branches annotation No. 51, corresponds to the fifth level of the Latvian qualification introduction structure (5.LQF) and the fifth level of the professional qualification (5.PQL).
- Able to apply mathematical and algorithmic principles, computer science theories, model and design computer-based systems, demonstrate understanding of the application of the most appropriate software.
- Can use IT industry standards, use IT terminology, understands and is able to communicate in English and Latvian.
- Able to use operating systems and use text and graphics editors, etc. office applications, as well as being able to use speed typing techniques and participate in project management.
- Able to apply the specific skills in the profession, how to create and debug programs, apply design schemes and diagrams, design algorithms and data structures, choose software products and tools adequate for problem solving.
- Able to take data protection and security measures, configure workplace and work tools, use software development tools, implement algorithms using programming language, analyze program code, implement user interface and program using Internet technologies.
- Able to use data request languages, use program code quality testing tools, measure software performance, use good programming style, use software testing techniques and perform system analysis and design and work in a team (group), work independently and plan work to be performed and define it priorities.
- Able to use information search and selection tools, prepare presentation materials and events and manage them.
- Able to convince others and argue their point of view, draw up business documents and observe the principles of professional ethics, comply with work hygiene and safety requirements, be able to communicate in English.
