Admission requirements1. First-cycle higher education or equivalent higher education in the chosen field of study (mathematics, natural sciences, Latvian language and literature, foreign languages and second languages, health and physical activities, social and civic areas, cultural understanding and self-expression in art) within the corresponding branch of science (natural sciences, engineering sciences and technologies, medical and health sciences, agricultural, forestry, and veterinary sciences, social sciences (except pedagogy and education sciences), humanities, and arts), along with an entrance examination. 2. First-cycle higher education or equivalent higher education in natural sciences, engineering sciences and technologies, medical and health sciences, agricultural, forestry, and veterinary sciences, social sciences (except pedagogy and education sciences), humanities, and arts. Within the framework of the study programme, study courses corresponding to the field of study (mathematics, natural sciences, Latvian language and literature, foreign language and second language, health and physical activities, social and civic areas, cultural understanding and self-expression in art) must have been completed in the amount of at least 18 ECTS, along with an entrance examination. 3. First-cycle higher education or equivalent higher education in a field unrelated to the field of study (mathematics, natural sciences, Latvian language and literature, foreign and second languages, health and physical activities, social and civic areas, cultural understanding and self-expression in art). However, in previous studies, study courses corresponding to the chosen field of study (mathematics, natural sciences, Latvian language and literature, foreign and second language, health and physical activities, social and civic areas, cultural understanding and self-expression in art) must have been acquired in the amount of 12 ECTS. Additionally, a rating of “very good,” “excellent,” or “outstanding” (8–10 points) in the chosen field of study must have been obtained in the UL qualification examination, along with an entrance examination.
