1. Knows and understands the anatomical, physiological and functional characteristics of patients of different age groups, orientated in disease aetiology, clinic, principles of therapy, care and rehabilitation, connecting with research in his/her field;
2. Understands the assessment of the patient's health condition, applied massage methodology, special types of massage, work safety and infection control issues, as well as understands the applicability of medical devices, medicinal substances and physical therapy methods used in massage;
3. Knows the legal aspects of the massage therapist's professional activity, observes the principles of personal data protection and information confidentiality;

4. Plans and organizes its activity within the limits of its professional competence, based on regulatory normative documents, observing the principles of personal data protection and information confidentiality;
5. Evaluates the assessment of the patient's state of health and performs massage, using the medical devices and medicinal substances necessary for the work, including evaluating and performing massage according to the characteristics of children's development and different patient groups, such as, for example, for pregnant women, athletes, etc., the evaluation and documentation of massage results is carried out; provides emergency medical assistance;
6. Analyses and conducts research activities in the fields relevant to the industry, reads specialized literature in a foreign language freely, applies modern information technologies;
Competence
7. Assesses the patient's state of health and prepares the patient for massage, evaluating massage indications and contraindications for each patient individually, analyses and performs various types of massage for the patient according to his/her state of health, evaluates massage results by documenting them, evaluates and conducts educational work to promote the patient's active and conscious participation in the recovery process;
8. Assesses and acts appropriately in life-threatening situations, provides emergency medical assistance;
9. Evaluates and makes decisions related to commercial activity, choosing the optimal variant of commercial activity, uses and complies with the requirements of regulatory acts regulating commercial activity and labour relations, evaluates and takes responsibility for the results of her professional activity and complies with the requirements of the regulatory acts in the medical field, observing the principles of data protection of natural persons and confidentiality of information, able to work in a team as well as analyse and carry out research activities in their field using modern information technologies.
